Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead content standardization and workflow improvements, collaborating with content BU teams to elevate taxonomy, metadata and AI-enabled production. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, design training, and shape a backbone for enterprise content across market segments.

You will work hands-on on the toughest edges, while influencing senior content PMs and leaders, aiming for measurable quality improvements and scalable content platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management in content or publishing.
• Owns content standards: taxonomy, metadata, quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems with AI tooling.
• Experience with SVPG-style empowered teams and value-centric planning.
• Proven continuous discovery and outcomes in content.
• Background as content architect or publishing ops lead.
• Experience designing PM training for content teams.
• Experience in education/content-regulated industries; accessibility knowledge.
• Advanced degree or depth; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement the standards spine inside real business unit work.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows with the people who run them.
• Partner with content leaders through content strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy tied to learner goals.
• Design and deliver training anchored in Pearson’s real content problems.
• Contribute to content job family and community of practice.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base.
• Identify manual content tasks worth automating and prototype automation.
• Bring evaluation, telemetry and human-in-the-loop design to AI-assisted content generation.
• Keep a clear view on where AI helps content work and where it does not.
• Role model collaboration with product, engineering, design, and editorial.
