Job summary

Pearson seeks a senior product manager/strategist to lead content standards, taxonomy design, and AI-enabled workflows across content units. You will partner with content leaders to rebuild production paths, define a common spine, and ship measurable quality improvements in publishing systems.

You will apply deep content craft knowledge, run continuous discovery, coach other PMs, and balance hands-on work with strategic guidance, while aligning with Pearson's learning mission.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of product management experience in content or content platform domains.
• Hands-on ownership of taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems with current AI tooling.
• Experience in empowered product team models (SVPG-style).
• Proven continual discovery translating to content outcomes.
• Able to coach PMs/leaders without alienation.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical/senior audiences.
• Background as content architect or publishing ops lead.
• Experience designing PM training for content teams.
• Experience in education or regulated content domains.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards.
• Advanced degree or equivalent depth.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Embed the standards spine inside real business unit work.
• Redesign production workflows to reduce handoffs and rework.
• Partner with content leaders across Pearson on strategy and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy aligned to learner jobs.
• Design and deliver training anchored in real content problems.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base.
• Identify manual tasks worth automating and prototype the automation.
• Bring evaluation, telemetry, and human-in-the-loop design to AI-assisted content generation.
• Maintain a clear view on where AI helps content work and where it does not.
• Role model collaboration with product, engineering, and editorial.
