Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists and guiding cross‑functional teams.
• A track record of coaching teams to meet strategic initiatives.
• Experience leading multi‑team adoption of AI‑assisted development and governance.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, security, resiliency, and data handling.
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing software talent.
• Expert coding in Java Full Stack, React, and Next.js.
• Leadership in an Agile environment with varying levels of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of software engineers.
• Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and processes.
• Set operating practices for AI‑assisted engineering and SDLC automation across teams.
• Apply SDLC tools to drive efficiency and capacity unlock initiatives.
• Ensure collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate issues to deliver a book of work.
• Provide input to leadership on budget and technical strategy.
• Develop and enhance a content platform using Java Full Stack, React, Next.js, and a headless content API.
• Manage the team in building secure external‑facing apps, using secure coding and AI agents to optimize code.
• Design solutions with modularity, performance, resiliency, and non‑functional criteria in mind.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud‑native apps on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway).
