Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer in Columbus, OH to design and evolve secure, cloud-enabled platforms. The role combines hands-on software development with leadership, governance for AI-assisted engineering, and mentoring across teams.

You will guide engineering decisions, promote quality standards, and drive adoption of modern practices across the SDLC, including AI-enabled tooling and infrastructure-as-code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience, including leadership.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing, and production operations.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience migrating complex apps to the public cloud and IaC.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, Scrum.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
• Strong knowledge of modular monolith and microservices patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions that are highly available, performant, and resilient.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ code to improve reliability.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and operational processes across the engineering lifecycle.
• Act as SME in cloud engineering, IaC, or platform engineering.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
