Job summary

Argo Group, a specialty insurance underwriter, seeks a production underwriter to market, underwrite, and process assigned lines of business. This is a 100% in-office role; candidates must work on-site at a designated office during standard business hours in Omaha.

Essential duties include policy review and pricing, broker negotiations, portfolio management, data analysis, and maintaining underwriting files. Eligible for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three-plus years related insurance experience
• Proven ability to engage in negotiation and drive profitable growth
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review and price policies based on underwriting guidelines and authority
• Utilize underwriting tools to determine classifications, rates, and premiums
• Interact with brokers in person, via email, and by phone to obtain risk details, negotiate terms and pricing
• Manage assigned portfolio and monitor broker performance (GWP, loss ratio)
• Create, analyze, and interpret data from reports/dashboards
• Complete underwriting analysis and maintain files
• Review state laws within territory to transact business
• Participate in department educational sessions
