Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Production Underwriter - Construction to join the Midwest Region in a growth-focused, multi-line construction underwriting role.

The role involves underwriting middle market construction business, managing agency relationships, and executing the underwriting strategy to meet profit and premium plans. Remote opportunity with preference for candidates in the St. Louis or Kansas City metro areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• AU, CIC and/or CPCU designations preferred.
• Four-year college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Profitably underwrite complex new and renewal business with risk selection, pricing, contractual integrity, and account management.
• Mentor and train team members, acting as a resource for questions and escalated issues.
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with agencies and producers.
• Achieve production goals within assigned territory.
