UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Production Underwriter - Construction to join our Midwest region. You will underwrite middle market construction business, manage accounts, and mentor team members. Remote work is offered with preference for candidates in the St. Louis or Kansas City metro areas.

Responsibilities include underwriting profitability, portfolio management, and collaboration across underwriting, sales, and risk control to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred.
• Completion of AU, CIC and/or CPCU designations preferred.
• 5+ years commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• Advanced risk evaluation skills and insurance contract knowledge.
• Strong leadership to mentor and train team members.

Responsabilités

• Profitably underwrite complex new and renewal business with risk selection, pricing, and account management.
• Demonstrate risk assessment and control identification; document thought processes.
• Meet production goals and develop a strong agency partner pipeline.
• Market and develop relationships with producers and agencies.
• Represent the company in underwriting, risk control, and claims discussions.
