Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Production Underwriter - Construction to join the Southeast Region. You will underwrite middle market construction opportunities, manage accounts, and mentor teammates while working to achieve profit and premium goals.

The role supports a remote work model with preference for candidates in Nashville, Atlanta, or broader Southeast. Travel and licensing requirements apply as part of field coverage.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred.
• AU, CIC and/or CPCU designations preferred.
• 5+ years commercial lines underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex new and renewal business with risk selection, pricing, and terms.
• Manage portfolio to meet profit and premium plans for the unit.
• Marketing and prospecting with agencies and insureds to develop a strong pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Mentor and train team members and share underwriting best practices.
• Represent UFG in the marketplace and communicate capabilities.
