Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities in Saint Robert, MO, is seeking a construction superintendent to plan, lead and coordinate project activities on a multifamily site. You will manage subcontractors, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with plans, safety, and quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years of supervisory experience, reading blueprints, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication. Travel up to 30% may be necessary; a valid driver’s license and MS Project proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a construction superintendent or a similar construction role.
• Knowledge of local and federal building codes, OSHA, EPA rules and regulations.
• Ability to read, understand and execute blueprints, drawings and plans.
• MS Office with emphasis on MS Project.
• Active and valid Driver's License.
• OSHA 30 Construction and OSHA Fall Protection Certification within 30 days of employment
• EPA RRP knowledge and Building Codes and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, understands, and enforces subcontractor assignment and scope of work; leads productivity issues and monitors performance to ensure project plans and schedule.
• Ensures timely compliance with internal/external documentation, daily reports, safety/environmental records.
• Monitors project schedule, milestones, and Schedule of Values; guides project teams through pre-construction and execution stages.
• Reviews and processes Owner and Subcontractor change orders; ensures adherence to plans, safety and quality.
• Implements safety program and daily safety inspections to maintain a safe, compliant job site in line with OSHA requirements.
