Job summary

Balfour Beatty Investments is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to plan, lead and coordinate activities across multifamily project sites in the U.S. This role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and effective coordination of general contractors, subcontractors and vendors.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in construction supervision, strong reading of blueprints, and experience with Procore and MS Project. Travel up to 30% and OSHA 30 certification are required assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a construction superintendent or similar role.
• Ability to read, understand and execute blueprints, drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of local and federal building codes, OSHA, EPA rules and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification within 30 days of employment.
• EPA RRP knowledge and Procore Project Management software.
• Active and valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Plans, leads, and coordinates project activities, including formulating project objectives, policies, procedures, site mobilization activities and performance standards for work activities for a particular project.
• Coordinates, understands, and enforces subcontractor assignment and scope of work. Takes lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and productivity of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule.
• Ensures timely compliance with all internal and external document and record keeping requirements, with emphasis on daily reports/logs, safety, environmental, and manpower documentation.
• Ensures construction activities are implemented, conducts pre-construction meetings, guides project teams, and monitors the project schedule to meet milestones.
• Reviews and processes Owner and Subcontractor change orders and ensures adherence to plans, specifications, safety, and quality.
