Job summary

Haydon Companies is seeking a Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety across major construction projects. You will partner with Operations to proactively identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen safety culture while mentoring junior team members.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of construction safety experience, and strong communication skills to influence across projects and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent construction and safety experience.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible construction safety experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing safety performance for large, complex, or multiple construction projects.
• Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior EHS representative for assigned projects or operational areas.
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Operations leadership to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
• Support complex or high-risk construction activities by identifying hazards and developing practical risk mitigation strategies.
• Promote a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across assigned projects.
• May provide formal supervision of Safety personnel as assigned.
