Job summary

Haydon Companies, headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead on-site safety for active construction projects. You will partner with Operations to identify hazards, enforce policies, and drive a proactive safety culture to ensure every employee returns home safely.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction safety, OSHA 30, and strong incident investigation skills. You will deliver trainings, maintain safety records, and support continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field.
• 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification required.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, DOT environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety leadership for assigned projects and operational areas.
• Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Deliver safety orientations and project-specific training.
• Maintain safety records and report metrics for continuous improvement.
• Exercise stop-work authority when imminent danger is present.
