Job summary

Haydon Companies is seeking a Safety Specialist to serve as the primary EHS representative on assigned projects. You will partner with Operations to identify hazards, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture.

Field leadership, coaching, and real-time guidance are core aspects of the role. Responsibilities include leading investigations, developing corrective actions, delivering trainings, and reporting metrics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety, Construction Mgmt or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years construction safety experience or similar.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to conduct inspections, investigations and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety activities and act as primary safety rep on projects.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and site coaching.
• Maintain inspections, metrics, and compliance records.
• Take decisive action to stop work when imminent danger is present.
