Mortenson is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer I to implement the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensure a safe environment for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors. The role focuses on program implementation, audits, and data analysis to reduce risk.

You will lead safety training, coordinate with client safety personnel, unions, and insurance risk engineers, and travel as needed across sites to uphold Mortenson’s safety standards and policies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent.
• OR High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and 10 years construction experience leading crews plus safety roles.
• Minimum of four years of construction safety experience.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple project tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety software.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs.
• Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data.
• Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals.
• Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics.
• Provide safety information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and keep up with safety standards.
• Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis.
• Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers.
• Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment and build relationships across diverse backgrounds.
