Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Construction to partner with agents and brokers, overseeing an assigned book, negotiating complex risk, and expanding our coverage offerings across construction accounts. • Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience, especially in construction risk or oil and gas.
• CPCU designation is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Travel to meet agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with regional leadership.
• Assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
