Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Risk Control professional to support underwriting with hazard knowledge, controls, and risk management. The role covers large, complex, multi-location accounts and requires travel to client sites.

You will partner with underwriting and other teams, produce detailed risk assessments, and help clients reduce losses. A strong background in safety, certifications, and communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence with 20–50% onsite travel.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers.
• Complete risk assessment evaluations for high-complexity Construction accounts.
• Write technically detailed reports with clear risk assessments and recommendations.
• Identify customer needs via loss analysis to provide Risk Control solutions.
• Provide risk mitigation solutions using Travelers resources and stay current with regulations.
