Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program for large-scale projects, including heavy civil and federal work. You will write the QC plan, conduct three-phase meetings, and interface with owners’ QA representatives to defend test results and NCRs.

The role requires supervising QC inspectors, coordinating lab testing, and ensuring compliance with USACE/NAVFAC programs. Travel to active sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.
• Ability to present data clearly and defend findings in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present results in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
