Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the on-site quality control program across large, multi-phase projects. You will oversee field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and present test data for audits and owner meetings.

You will ensure compliance with USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements, coordinate testing, and manage NCRs with formal corrective actions. Expect long days on active job sites and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
