Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, and federal work under USACE or NAVFAC standards. You will write the project QC plan, lead three-phase meetings, supervise inspectors, and own the NCR/corrective-action process with owner representatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
