Job summary

Construction Material Testing in the United States is seeking a Construction Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program. You will own the site quality management system, the audit program, the relationship with the owner's quality organization, and the development of every QC person on the program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality, with 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• USACE CQM-C plus a senior certification: ICC special inspector (multiple categories), NICET Level IV, or ASQ CQA/CMQ-OE.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT quality assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and hold it to the plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage and review performance.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits.
• Own the corrective-action program; approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics — test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings — to program leadership monthly.
• When nonconformance is serious enough to stop work, you make the call and you document why.
• Be the program's memory. Specifications get revised, owners change representatives, and staff rotate; the quality management system you build is what keeps the record consistent across all of it.
