Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi‑phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work, with field inspectors reporting to you. You write the project quality control plan, lead three‑phase control meetings, supervise QC inspectors and technicians, and own every test result and nonconformance across the program.

Travel and long days on site are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC/NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT or industrial owner programs.
• Clear writing and firm stance with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and gain acceptance.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run NCR and corrective-action processes and present in QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate lab testing, mix design approvals, and certifications.
