Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects in heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements.

You will lead field inspectors and technicians, write and defend the project QC plan, and oversee NCRs with documented causes and corrective actions. Travel to active job sites is required; the role offers substantial field oversight and accountability.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
assign daily coverage and review their reports;
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
