Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the project quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You will lead field inspectors and technicians and be responsible for the project QC plan and test results.

You will chair three-phase quality meetings, coordinate lab testing and certifications, and manage nonconformance and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• Two+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear writing and ability to stand firm in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
