Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federally funded work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You will lead field inspectors and technicians and own the project QC plan.

You will conduct three-phase control meetings, coordinate testing, and answer for every test result and nonconformance.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Strong written communication and ability to lead discussions with executives and owners.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain acceptance by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review inspector reports.
Run NCR and corrective-action processes and present results in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
