Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the QC program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC standards. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase meetings, and own all test results and NCRs with field inspectors reporting to you.

Your week focuses on definable features, phase inspections, and data-backed owner communications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• Experience supervising inspectors for 2+ years.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC/NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner programs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
