Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC standards. You will lead field inspectors, write the QC plan, and own the NCR process through to closed retest.

You will supervise inspectors, coordinate with owners, and ensure tests and nonconformances are properly documented.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, incl. 2+ years supervising inspectors
USACE CQM-C certificate is required
ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification preferred
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
Strong written communication under QA/QC audits and owner meetings

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
Assign daily coverage and review their reports
Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present results in owner QA/QC meetings
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
