Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the project quality control program on large-scale projects including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC federal work. You will write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and oversee field inspectors and technicians, ensuring every test result and nonconformance is documented and resolved.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate required or NICET Level III/ICC certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Clear written communication and ability to hold line with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
