Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the QA/QC program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, and federal work for USACE and NAVFAC. You’ll write the project quality control plan, run three-phase meetings, and own the test results and NCR resolution.

You will supervise QC inspectors and technicians, coordinate lab testing, and manage nonconformance processes with owners and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection
• 2+ years supervising inspectors
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
