Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will write the project QC plan, chair three-phase control meetings, and be accountable for every test result and nonconformance.

You will supervise field inspectors and technicians, coordinate testing and certifications across subcontractors, and lead the NCR process in owner QA/QC meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate.
• ICC special inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT projects.
• Clear written communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for features of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
