Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction (QA) Inspector for a Louisville, KY site. The role requires delivering surveillance reports, verifying workmanship, materials, installation, and methods per plans for government projects.

You will provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with codes and specifications and maintain detailed site reports daily. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction inspection experience on large federal projects, with knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IPC, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED minimum; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of applicable construction contract administration and inspection experience on large complex federal projects (DoD/USACE preferred)
• Experience with vertical construction projects; hospital construction experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), National Electric Code (NFPA 70), IPC, NFPA 13 & 72, ASHRAE/NEBB HVAC testing, Building Commissioning, IT/Security systems, and related codes
• Experience with RMS 3.0, three-phase inspection process, OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications to government personnel.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure project compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports including progress, safety issues, and subcontractor activity.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules and shop drawings; identifies problems and advises on modifications.
• Prepares engineering plans or reports and assists in contract modification processes.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval; monitors safety, environmental and quality control programs.
• Monitors progress and advises project team of potential delays; performs other duties as assigned.
