Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Construction (QA) Inspector to support Louisville, KY area projects. The role requires a US citizen with ability to pass a federal background and drug screen.

You will perform field inspections, generate reports, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards on large federal construction programs. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IPC, and USACE/OSHA guidelines, and a proven track record on complex

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; construction degree preferred.
• 10+ years on DoD/USACE or federal project inspection/contract administration.
• Experience with vertical/hospital construction and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surveillance reports on construction phases for compliance with plans and specs.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with standards and design instructions.
• Perform inspections and daily site reports; monitor progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower.
• Observe phases for schedule and shop drawing compliance; identify problems and suggest changes.
• Prepare engineering plans or reports and assist in contract modifications.
• Review contractor plans and submittals for approvals; monitor schedules and safety programs.
• Track progress and alert project team to potential delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Associates or Bachelor's in Construction Management/Engineering

10+ years of construction contract administration/inspection experience

Experience with vertical hospital construction

Knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 70, IPC, NFPA 13/72, ASHRAE/NEBB

OSHA EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual

RMS 3.0 experience
