The role requires thorough inspection of construction phases to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes, with documentation of daily activities and safety concerns. The ideal candidate will bring a background in construction management or engineering, plus extensive experience with DoD/USACE projects and familiarity with building codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; degree preferred in construction management or engineering.
• Experience on large, complex federal construction projects (DoD/USACE) is preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant codes (NFPA 101, NFPA 70, IPC, NFPA 13/72, ASHRAE/NEBB) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on construction for compliance with plans and specs to government personnel.
• Provides technical expertise to ensure compliance with engineering standards and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports with safety and progress notes.
