Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Construction (QA) Inspector for Louisville, KY, supporting federal projects with DoD/USACE experience preferred. Responsibilities include surveillance reports, field inspections, and reviews of contractor submittals to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

Must pass background and drug screening; US citizenship required. The role requires extensive construction contract administration expertise, strong attention to detail, and ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Must be US Citizen and able to pass federal background review and drug screen.
• 10+ years of applicable experience in construction contract administration and inspection on large, complex federal projects (DoD/USACE preferred).
• Experience with vertical construction projects; hospital construction experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surveillance reports on all construction phases for compliance with plans, specs, workmanship, materials, installation, and methods.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure project compliance with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions.
• Perform inspections and complete daily site reports with progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower notes.
• Observe construction phases for adherence to schedules and shop drawings; identify problems, propose changes, and assess contract modification needs.
• Prepare engineering plans or reports; assist in contract modification processes.
• Review contractor plans/submittals for approval, including schedules, safety, and QC programs.
• Monitor progress of all construction activities and advise project team on potential delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
