Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction (QA) Inspector to monitor all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications on a Louisville, KY area project.

You will deliver surveillance reports to government personnel and provide technical expertise to ensure alignment with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of federal project inspection experience, hospital project exposure, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED minimum; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience on large DoD/USACE federal projects.
• Hospital construction experience preferred.
• Experience with relevant construction/building codes (NFPA 101, NFPA 70, IPC, NFPA 13/72, ASHRAE/NEBB).
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection process.
• OSHA and EM 385-1-1 familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on construction for compliance with plans and specifications to government personnel.
• Provides technical expertise to client to ensure project compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports including comments, progress, safety issues and subcontractor manpower.
• Observes and investigates construction phases for compliance with schedules, specs and shop drawings; identifies problems and recommends changes.
• Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.
• Reviews contractor schedules and plans.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Reviews and analyzes contractor plans and submittals for approval including progress schedules and safety programs.
• Monitors scheduled progress and notifies project team of potential delays.
• Utilizes Resident Management System (RMS).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
