Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for multiple commercial projects, monitor progress against baselines, and report on variances. The role interfaces with project teams, preconstruction, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in scheduling, strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Office, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high integrity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of scheduling experience on commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of various construction markets (institutional, retail, government, hospitality, healthcare).
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate teams.
• High integrity and adherence to policies.
• Proficiency with common office equipment.
• Strong written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of construction practices, methods, trends, and crew data.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned projects.
• Organize bid proposals to meet deadlines.
• Review schedule data including dates, costs, WBS, and activity data.
• Evaluate work packages for feasible implementation and propose alternatives.
• Interface with customers to report status and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to clearly communicate schedule information.
• Ensure resources are available to maintain schedules and flag constraints.
• Coordinate status updates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep project plans current on a daily basis.
