Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is sourcing a Construction Project Manager 3 for the City of New York to manage bridge capital construction projects in the Bureau of Capital Design and Construction.

You will oversee reconstruction and rehabilitation of major bridges, review contracts, and coordinate with NYCDOT and other agencies. The role requires extensive field coordination, schedule management, and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma and five years of full-time experience on construction projects of at least $300,000 each year.
• Bachelor’s degree plus one year of specified construction management experience.
• Professional engineer, architect, or landscape architect license qualifies for assignment.
• Combination of two years of experience with the education in item 2 to total five years may substitute experience.
• Candidates must describe each project including time period, their role, and money allotted.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction project management for bridge capital construction projects.
• Review contract documents, schedules, and prepare scopes and specifications.
• Coordinate with NYCDOT and other agencies for project reviews and approvals.
• Direct project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management; use CPMS for approvals and invoices.
• Attend field meetings and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues.
