Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager II to direct and manage field activities, ensuring projects meet schedule and budget while adhering to safety policies. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating trades, and maintaining project documentation with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

The position requires a strong background in construction management, supervisory experience, and the ability to forecast costs and manage change orders across varied project sizes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Take reasonable care of health and safety and of others in the work environment.
• Organize, instruct and supervise a construction crew across all facets.
• Ability to estimate and forecast costs for projects.
• Understanding of scheduling, blueprints and construction methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Supervise construction workers and Foremen, depending on project size.
• Maintain project records, paperwork, and documentation.
• Ensure schedules are maintained and deadlines met.
• Coordinate change orders and cost control with CMIII/APM/PM.
• Lead apprenticeship coaching and development efforts.
• Interview, hire and train direct reports; manage performance.
• Ensure compliance with Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship where applicable.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and write routine reports.
