Job summary

MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure is hiring a Construction Project Manager I or II in Benicia, CA to lead heavy civil road and infrastructure projects from contract strategy through field execution. This role requires strong Excel skills, risk management, and the ability to manage multiple crews and schedules.

Experience with heavy civil construction is required; Primavera P6 is highly desired. Travel averages 25% with a company vehicle provided and overnight lodging when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management; other majors may be considered.
• 3–5 years of construction-related experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Contract management with change orders, scope changes, field conditions, and bid methods.
• Manage Subcontractor and Vendor relationships; identify and mitigate risk and cost overruns.
• Maintain cost accounting, schedule impacts, change order logs, and communication logs.
• Coordinate and supervise varying work schedules (day/night) and crew mobilizations.
• Work closely with project owners, prime contractors, inspectors, field engineers, field superintendents and subcontractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
