Job summary

HPM is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the entire construction process from inception to handover. The role requires coordinating vendors, negotiating contracts, managing client expectations, and mitigating risk through careful scheduling and budgeting.

You'll lead assistant PMs, monitor budgets, prepare change orders, track procurement, and attend owner meetings. Domestic travel up to 30% may be required. A strong background in building science or construction management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience managing large, complex facility construction projects and on-site management.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and procurement to manage a construction project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of assistant project managers and participate in staff training.
• Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
• Develop project administration, correspondence, and letters.
• Provide planning, administration, programming, design, construction and technical support to ensure projects meet standards.
• Develop and monitor budgetary controls for each project.
• Prepare documentation related to contracts, payments, change orders, inspections, and compliance.
