Job summary

HPM seeks a Project Manager to lead the entire construction process from planning through project completion. You will coordinate vendors, negotiate contracts, manage client expectations, resolve disputes, and handle estimating/procurement and scheduling.

The role may require travel up to 5 days per week and involvement with on-site activities across projects. Strong knowledge of budgeting, procurement and contract administration is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in building science, construction management, civil engineering or related field.
  • Experience with large, complex facility construction projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, accounting and procurement processes for construction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assistants and participate in training for project staff.
  • Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
  • Develop project administration, correspondence, and letters.
  • Provide planning, communication, and technical support across projects.
  • Develop and monitor budgetary controls for each project.
  • Review documentation related to contracts, payments, change orders, and safety.
  • Attend owner meetings and serve as owner's representative.
  • Prepare budgets, scope amendments, and review change orders.
  • Attend planning and status meetings; grow client relationships.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, RFPs, and material procurement.
  • Develop project plans with SSRs, monthly projections, and cash flow.
  • Maintain understanding of contracts and project documents.
