Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to deliver accurate testing and documentation for heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will join a value-driven team focused on quality, safety, and meaningful work on public and private projects across Western Washington.

Required WAQTC density and aggregate certifications and ACI Field Testing Grade 1, plus 2+ years of testing experience.

Qualifications

• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications required.
• ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification required.
• 2+ years of construction materials testing experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven job sites.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of materials testing and construction practices.
• Willingness to travel across Western Washington on per diem basis.

Responsibilities

• Write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform site tests, record data and interpret results.
• Sample and test cement, concrete and other materials.
• Sample and test aggregates (sieve, sand, moisture).
• Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete and earthwork.
• Issue tickets for material measurements.
