Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to perform field testing and documentation for heavy civil projects. The role requires WAQTC In-Place Density and ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certifications, with 2+ years of materials testing experience.

You will collect samples, run density and sieve analyses, and prepare accurate test reports, while traveling as needed in Western Washington and maintaining safe on-site practices.

Qualifications

• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications are required.
• 2+ years of experience performing construction materials testing on heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform a variety of job site tests, record test data, and interpret test results.
• Sample and test cement, concrete, and other surfacing materials.
• Sample and perform aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, sand equivalent, and moisture content.
• Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing, and earthwork.
• Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
