Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to deliver accurate materials testing and documentation for heavy civil infrastructure projects. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, WAQTC density/aggregate testing, and ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification (preferred).

The role involves field sampling of cement, concrete, aggregates, and densities using a nuclear gauge, with frequent site travel and data reporting to ensure quality and safety on projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications (preferred).
• ACI Certification field testing Grade 1 (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform a variety of job site tests, record data, and interpret results.
• Sample and test Cement, Concrete, and other surfacing materials.
• Sample and perform aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, sand equivalent, and moisture content.
• Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing, and earthwork.
• Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
