Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead federal construction projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, serve as the main client contact, and drive schedules, budgets, and compliance across complex site work at the Cheyenne/Denver area.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field, and at least 10 years of PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field.
• Minimum 10 years construction project management experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with Federal Construction projects, especially USACE preferred.
• Strong PM leadership and ability to lead teams and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors; act as primary client contact.
• Review contract documents for schedule compliance and reasonability.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement quality control to meet specifications and standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits to address quality issues.
• Review contractor plans and submittals for approvals (schedules, safety, QC).
• Prepare correspondence on contractor performance, REAs, RFIs, etc.
• Assist with hosting site visits and presenting to owner’s representatives.
• Provide guidance and training to team; oversee contract negotiations and disputes.
• Monitor progress and flag potential slippage; advise project team.
• Prepare payment estimates and verify materials on hand; calculate% complete of lump sums.
• Produce monthly project reports for customers.
• Participate in contract modification processes and RFP scopes.
