Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive for Construction Loss Sensitive to partner with agents and brokers to place coverage for new and renewal business tailored to customers’ needs. You will assess risk, negotiate terms, and drive profitability across a defined book.

The role requires 3–5 years of underwriting experience in construction loss sensitive products, CPCU is a plus, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years underwriting experience with construction loss sensitive.
• Knowledge of construction loss sensitive products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and act in line with risk appetite.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with agents and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet in person with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products; travel as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans; execute region/group sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
