Senior Construction Leader - Data Center Projects

Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC is seeking a seasoned construction program manager to lead ground-up projects and renovations across multiple geographies in North America. You will oversee cross-functional groups spanning design, procurement, operations, IT/network, and finance while directing 25+ external vendors per project to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 7+ years of progressive experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• 7+ years progressive experience in managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building construction and project management processes nationally.
• Experience designing data centers across North America geography.
• Ability to analyze construction documents including drawings and contracts.
• CPM scheduling, cost estimating, proposal generation, documentation and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and industry applications.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and team-building across international regions.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and project leadership from ground up construction to renovations.
• Organize and lead cross-functional work groups across design, procurement, operations, IT/Network, and finance.
• Direct 25+ external vendors per project including GC, A&E, commissioning, equipment suppliers.
• Implement company processes and best management practices.
• Ensure effective contract administration including prime/subcontracts, change orders, forecasts.
• Maintain internal controls at each step of the process.
• Inspect work to meet quality, spec, and schedule requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with staff, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and professionals.
• Pursue professional development and training opportunities.
• Provide subject-matter expertise and report status to management timely.
