Aligned Data Centers, LLC seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead design management for major data center projects, overseeing preconstruction, design phases, and collaboration with CM and operations.

The role requires 9+ years in commercial construction design programs, strong Excel/Smartsheets/AutoCAD skills, and excellent communication. Travel up to 25% may be required; a mechanical/electrical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent; 9+ years managing design programs.
• Mechanical/Electrical background preferred; advanced Excel/Smartsheets/AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task with time and change management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects from inception through turnover with focus on preconstruction and design.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and equipment providers; align with operations.
• Lead design management activities and maintain project dashboards.
• Ensure design deliverables meet customer requirements and budgets.
• Provide reporting to leadership and manage third-party design teams.
