Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector to lead field inspections for roadway and bridge projects in the Atlanta, GA area, with duties across Chattanooga sites. The role requires state highway inspection experience, strong math skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Travel to project sites and flexible hours may be required. Qualifications include a civil engineering degree (or equivalent) with substantial field experience, knowledge of plans, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher with required roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree with 8 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• High school diploma with 15 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience for a State Highway Agency.
• Experience in transportation construction inspection, including heavy civil, bridge and roadway projects.
• Knowledge of specifications, standards, materials, methods, and equipment used in highway and bridge construction.
• Proficiency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex construction plans and reports (BFI, pile driving, drilled shafts).
• Ability to work independently and make informed field decisions.
• Commitment to safety in construction environments.
• Valid US Driver’s License; MVR review required.
