Job summary

Lindahl Reed is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to provide full-time, on-site inspection and quality assurance for a UESC energy contract in Baltimore, MD. The role spans mechanical, electrical, civil, and utility systems and requires independent QA oversight.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction inspection or 5+ years with an engineering degree and PE/ICC credentials, plus Maryland QA experience and Procore proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction inspection, quality control, or facilities contract management on large-scale energy infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Experience on federal construction projects with knowledge of QA/QC, QASPs, and government oversight.
• Extensive QA experience in Maryland with knowledge of local trades and multiple contracts; client technical representative duties.
• Energy infrastructure knowledge covering boilers, steam systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, BESS, microgrids, and related systems.
• Must have PE license or ICC certification; familiarity with NEC, IBC, IMC, ASME, NFPA, ASHRAE; OSHA 10/30 required.
• Procore proficiency for daily reporting, deficiency tracking, submittals, and photos.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite construction inspection and quality assurance.
• Prepare accurate daily inspection reports, field logs, and material testing records.
• Document contractor quality control activities and verify three-phase inspection process.
• Track submittal reviews, RFIs, and non-conformance reports.
• Prepare periodic inspection summaries and contribute to monthly progress reports.
