Job summary

GPTech in Maryland is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Inspector to support on-site construction inspection, QA/QC, and contract management across energy and infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to pass a federal background check.
• 10+ years of experience in construction inspection or related field.
• Extensive QA/QC experience in Maryland.
• Experience overseeing multiple trades and contracts.
• Experience as a client technical representative or similar role.
• Experience with large-scale energy infrastructure or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and QA/QC requirements.
• Procore experience.
• OSHA 10/30 Construction certification.
• License or ICC certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite construction inspection, QA/QC, and technical oversight throughout project execution.
• Monitor construction activities, materials, workmanship, and installed systems for compliance with contract documents, specifications, drawings, codes, and applicable standards.
• Serve as a client technical representative and coordinate with the COR, contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, and testing; document deficiencies, non-conforming work, and corrective actions.
• Review contractor submittals, quality control documentation, inspection records, invoices, and other project documentation.
• Review contractor schedule updates and verify reported progress against actual field conditions, including analysis of schedule logic, constraints, activity changes, float, and other compliance issues.
• Prepare and submit schedule compliance statements to the COR within three (3) days of contractor billing submissions.
• Utilize Procore to maintain construction documentation, inspections, communications, and project records.
• Monitor multiple trades and contracts, identify coordination issues, and support resolution of construction, technical, and schedule-related problems.
• Support construction meetings, claims analysis, field investigations, commissioning, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, photographs, measurements, and other required project documentation.
